Whilst it can be a mind-clearing experience to limit your internet usage on holidays, when you are travelling on the road the internet can be a very helpful tool to link you to the outside world.
Whether you like to email family and friends photos or updates of your travels, check the local news, or update your travel blog, the internet can be your ultimate portal and communication tool.
There are several ways to connect to the internet whilst travelling in your caravan. You could use your laptop to connect wirelessly to a caravan park’s internet connection. Click here to browse a directory of Australian caravan parks that you can contact to check if they are equipped with an internet connection.
Alternatively, you can organise a wireless internet router, a device specifically designed to connect to the internet when travelling. You could talk to your internet provider and ask about wireless travel options, including devices called USB dongles, which plug into the side of your laptop.

We use BigPond and are very happy with it. The only problem is that in some rural areas it can be frustrating getting connected. We are presently in Roma, Qld. and find early morning or after work hours are best. We have one (1)Gigabyte for $39. Enjoy!
