Choosing curtains for your caravan

Category: Caravanning

A new set of curtains can breathe new life into your caravan’s interior and are an important part of comfortable caravanning.

When choosing the ideal curtains for your van, look for lighter coloured canvas fabrics such as tan, camel or buttercup yellow to ensure that the overall design aesthetic of your van remains airy rather than shadowy.

When selecting a curtain style for your caravan, you could consider incorporating a double-layering combination. A darker, heavier canvas curtain will block out light at night time and the lighter opaque layer will allow sunshine to stream through during the day, whilst maintaining your privacy. Ensure that your curtains can be easily removed from the rack so that you can wash them each season, to prevent an accumulation of dust and mould. Leftover curtain fabrics can be used to make small pockets to hang off the end of your caravan bed for storage.
