Photos and videos are a great way to remember a trip, but if you’re creatively inclined there are also other little mementos that can be great reminders of the fun times.
For your next caravanning trip, consider making a scrapbook documenting your adventure. It’s something that you can do while on the road and also after your trip is over, which means you can enjoy the feeling of adventure for longer. Here are some tips on creating a scrapbook of your caravanning adventure.
First, find the scrapbook that suits your plan. Do you want to simply compile photos, ticket stubs and postcards (in which case a photo album with plastic sleeves will suffice) or are you looking to be more artistic and decorate your pages with illustrations and collages (this will require paper-based pages that you can glue things on to and decorate with felt pen).
Next, get in the habit of collecting little momentos from your trip, from serviettes in cafes you love, to feathers or leaves discovered on a bushwalk, or shells from your favourite beach. You might want to also keep a journal as part of it, documenting all of your experiences, or you could simply create a visual journal. You now have the tools to complete your scrapbook –think of what it will be like to look back on the memories in ten years’ time.
