Choosing a set of tyres for your caravan or motorhome is like choosing a comfortable pair of shoes.
Quality and longevity are major factors, as well as the essential ability to carry a solid load over long periods of time and distance. Make safety your priority and invest in the best quality tyres with solid tread. Caravan and motorhome tyres are stronger and more durable than a normal car tyre and designed to carry a heavy load.
Caravans usually require radial tyres suitable for light trucks (coupled with heavy-duty wheels). Even when buying your caravan new, always double check that the correct tyres have been fitted, and that the tyre type corresponds with the axle model. Always check the age (by looking for the engraved code on the tyre) of your tyres before fitting them. Rubber that is several years old may lose its strength.

I have puchased a new Regent Roystan duel axle caravan that has an ATM of 2600KG it has Alloy wheels with ADVENTURO A/T II GT RADIAL tyres fitted , they have a load rating of 900KG but are only 2 ply side walls does this matter?

The tyres fitted to your caravan have ample load carrying capacity for the weight of the van. The sidewall construction is of relatively little importance and is only likely to be an issue if you plan to travel off road or in areas where the roads are poor. A lighter sidewall could be a bit more susceptible to impact damage (pot holes, objects on road etc) but will probably provide a slightly better ride quality. A heavier sidewall will probably produce a slightly harder ride but may be a bit more resistant to impact damage.
