Brampton Island is situated at the foot of the world famous Whitsunday Island Passage and is the perfect getaway for those seeking an idyllic tropical escape.
The island is situated just offshore from Mackay and is mostly designated as Brampton Islands National Park, but there is also a resort on the island operated by Voyages. This large and beautiful island is part of the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area and is surrounded by clear waters, twelve beautiful beaches, coral gardens and an array of National Park walking and jogging tracks. An assorted range of fringing reefs surrounds the islands where you can discover an incredible group of marine life and soft and hard corals. There is also a great range of activities to enjoy on Brampton including – day tours, water sports, dive tours and beach games. Located out from Mackay at the base of the Whitsundays Island Passage, Brampton Island, this Whitsunday Island resort takes up just a small part of the northern edge of the 7.7 square kilometre island. Brampton Island is one of the very few Whitsunday islands that does not allow day trippers to interrupt the peace and solitude.

Been there and can recommend it.
