South Burnett Food and Wine Trail

Category: Drive Travel

Lush green vineyards trail over the undulating green hills of the South Burnett, punctuated by fields of cows and horses.

It’s a pretty landscape that has grown into one of Queensland’s leading wine regions featuring perfect grapes and some punchy winning wines. With its warm summer days, crisp cool nights and fertile soils, the South Burnett’s wine growing haven stretches from Goomeri in the north, through the Murgon region to the Bunya Mountains, Kingaroy and south to Nanango.

Along the South Burnett Food and Wine trail(an RACQ 150 must dos) you can sip wine at quaint cellar doors with sweeping valley views, indulge in the freshest of gourmet food and draw in the invigorating country air. With over thirteen cellar doors in the region there is a wide variety of experiences for you to explore at your leisure or on one of the daily wine tours that operate to the region.
