Springbrook Falls

Category: Drive Travel

Springbrook National Park surrounds the small settlement of Springbrook, set within the Gold Coast Hinterland.

There are some fabulous lookouts from around the Springbrook National Park, as well as several Antarctic Beech trees, a host of wildlife and plenty of things to do. Springbrook has a reputation for its fantastic waterfalls. Many waterfalls flow down the rocky landscape, with the famous Purlingbrook Falls a definite must visit. At Purlingbrook Falls you can make the most of the picnic area, or you can visit Natural Arch where you can swim in the crystal clear mountain waters under the waterfall. The rangers office and information centre offer free maps and walking track brochures, open between 3pm and 4pm, weekdays only. Springbrook also offers a number of walking trails around the beautiful rainforest. Information about the walking trails around the Springbrook National Park can be found at the Rangers offices in Natural Bridge or Springbrook Ph: (07) 5533 5147.

I suggest if going that way don’t miss Twin Falls, before you arrive at Purlingbrook. You walk under one set of falls and cross two others. The views are spectacular right across the valleys. We also saw an electric blue cray ‘thing’. That was only 3 weeks ago. Enjoy…Jeanette
