Brisbanes streets and bike paths will be brimming with thousands of cyclists on March 21, for the Great Brisbane Bike Ride.
Bicycle Queensland’s annual Bike Week is a cycling initiative supported by the Queensland Department of Transport, Main Roads and the Brisbane City Council. Bike Week celebrates Brisbane’s cycling culture and aims to encourage people of all ages and skill levels to embrace cycling in an effort to increase exercise, reduce pollution and lower traffic congestion.
The 12 km Goldcross Family Fun Ride is a great opportunity for younger and novice riders to stick to bikepaths and away from traffic. The 45 km loop involves two rest stops, and crosses the river at Indooroopilly, while the 30 km ride will cross the Eleanor Schonell Green Bridge. Early Bird entry prices are available until March 3.
