Cruise travel guide

Category: Global Travel

For up to 200 days per year, cruise ship critic Douglas Ward spends his time on board cruise ships, critiquing every aspect of the cruise liner’s facilities.

Considered to be one of the world’s foremost authorities on cruise ships and planning a cruise holiday, Douglas Ward has penned the latest edition of the Complete Guide to Cruising and Cruise Ships 2012.

The book assists travellers with the preparations of planning a holiday aboard a cruise ship. The first part of the book looks at the cruise experience as a whole and offers snippets of information that Douglas has found helpful in his experience. The second part of the book is a directory of 285 major cruise ships, rating each ship on its size, facilities, food, service, what to expect on board, and how the ship caters for families. Finally, the last part of the book offers practical information such as how to book a holiday, how to plan a budget, cruise ship etiquette, and general sea safety tips.

RACQ Travel is offering RACQ members an opportunity to purchase the book for a discounted member’s price. Click here for more information.
