Listening to jazz from the comfort of a rail carriage sounds like a luxurious and unique travel experience.
Music lovers have the chance to step aboard the ‘jazz train’ and be entertained by live jazz music on route to the inaugural Queensland Rail Outback Jazz and Swing Festival in Barcaldine.
A Queensland Rail initiative, the Queensland Rail Outback Jazz Train is a special leg of the iconic Spirit of the Outback that travels from Brisbane to Longreach. The four-day jazz-train experience includes one night in Barcaldine before returning to Brisbane. With music and live entertainment on board the train, the train ride is a unique way to experience the Queensland Rail Outback Jazz and Swing Festival and Queensland Rail’s 52nd Street Jazz on the Alice River.
Departing Brisbane on 21 April, the special trip will include pre-departure welcome drinks and canapes to kickstart the musically inspired trip in style.
