Category: Home+Garden

A spring clean doesnt need to be a seasonal event anytime is a good time to de-clutter and tidy your home.

A clean up can physically allow you to do more with your living space, and emotionally leave you feeling satisfied and cleansed. The right attitude, a limited time frame, and a solid plan are a great combination if you are craving a tidy-up. Try these five ways to help de-clutter your home.

Tip 1.
Set a time limit for your clean-up, so that your project is deadline driven.
Tip 2.
Put your favourite motivational music on, to inspire you.
Tip 3.
Measure your cupboard space carefully, and purchase airtight storage boxes to store winter jackets and items that are gathering dust. IKEA has a great range of storage options.
Tip 4.
Try not to store anything under your bed without being sealed in a box, basket or container, as it can attract dust.
Tip 5.
Be ruthless, if you haven’t used something for more than 12 months, the chances are you won’t need it in the future.
