As we become more concerned with the origins and production processes of the foods we eat, many people are turning to organic home-grown vegetable patches as a solution.
The purpose of organic gardening is to do it in a way that is harmonious to the environment – this means no chemical fertilisers or pest controls! While it might be difficult to go completely organic at first, you can slowly introduce organic garden products (such as the range available from Yates) that are kinder to the Earth. Also, look to starting a compost heap if you haven’t already, as this is a great way to fertilise the garden naturally. Once you learn the basic principles of organic gardening, you’ll soon be able to eat fresh organic veggies straight from your own garden.

This is really excellent advice.
