2009 Australias Best Cars annual awards.By Barry Green
Each saw off some stiff competition from a host of newcomers and incumbent challengers in their respective categories to take the crown.
Now in its 10th year, Australia’s Best Cars – a program of the Australian Automobile Association and constituent motoring clubs nationally, including the RACQ – in 2009 assessed more than 280 vehicles. The 36 finalists across 12 categories were road tested in during an intensive week of assessment by motoring club judges, before the winning vehicles were decided.
The judges assess vehicles on value for money, design and on-road performance.
