The authenticity of a tradie’s tools says much about the tradie. In a recent survey by Mahindra Automotive Australia (MAA), distributors of the Mahindra Pik-Up utility vehicle, 41% of respondents said that a tradie who drives a sturdy work horse ute was way more likely to instill trust in a client and be perceived to be hard working. Of all survey participants, 15.9% said that a “flashy” ute would make them suspicious of a tradie and believe that they may overcharge or rip them off, whilst only 10.1% believed that a high end ute gave the perception that the “tradie” was doing well and was good at their job.
