Warren Luff has been described as “the hardest working driver in V8 Supercars”, and with a work portfolio that also includes stunt driving, performance testing and driver education, it’s not hard to see why.
Technically Warren is a professional V8 supercar driver, currently driving for Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport, however what he does in his spare time is just as exciting.
He has been a part of Movie World’s Hollywood Stunt Driver live precision driving demonstration since its inception in 2008, and is now captain of the driving team which involves training new drivers.
“Stunt driving is a lot of fun. Drifting, skidding and sliding around are a great way to keep the skills sharp,” he said.
Warren is also committed to promoting road safety as he is the ambassador for the Drive to Survive driver education program, which is aimed at teaching year 11 and 12 students safer driving habits.
On top of all that he is also a performance car tester, and a driver trainer for Porsche.
Having driven his first car around a racetrack at just eight years of age, Warren said that “cars and driving have always been a passion for me ever since I was a kid, and that still continues today. It’s all about following your passion.”
When asked why he has taken on so many driving projects, Warren replied simply, “It stops me having to get a real job.”
