How to pick the right sleeping bag

Category: Outdoors

A good-quality, lightweight sleeping bag is a good investment to your camping gear, and if you choose wisely you should be sleeping snuggly on camping trips for years to come.

Firstly, determine where you will usually using your sleeping bag. If camping in minus-zero conditions isn’t your forte, then stick to a multi-purpose bag, made with materials that will breathe in warmer climates. If you are purchasing a sleeping bag for children, try to steer clear of pint-sized bags, because in a few years’ time they will have been out-grown. It is helpful to choose a sleeping bag with a soft outer material, to minimise ‘rustling’ noises when you are falling asleep. When finding the ideal sleeping bag for you, such as the wide range from Coleman, inquire at your local camping store if you can practise rolling and stuffing the sleeping bag into its storage bag, to allow for stress-free future camping trips.
