With the iPod Touch and iPhone, multi-touch technology is fast becoming
the way that people interact with their portable devices.
Now Apple has created another product using this same technology – the Apple Magic Mouse. It’s the world’s first multi-touch mouse, which now comes with every new iMac, but you can also add it to any Bluetooth-enabled Mac. Here’s how the new Magic Mouse works. The multi-touch area covers the top surface of the Magic Mouse, and the mouse itself is the button. You can scroll in any direction with one finger, swipe through web pages and photos with two, and click and double-click anywhere. Inside the Magic Mouse is a chip that tells the mouse exactly what you want it to do so the Magic Mouse won’t confuse a scroll with a swipe. It even knows when you’re just resting your hand on it. The mouse is sleek and has a smooth top shell and literally fits in the palm of your hand. It’s also wireless and can be used up to ten metres away from your computer.

I got the magic mouse with with my new iMac and it took only minutes to get used it. I now find problems more with the old scroll wheel mouse. very functional and easy to get used to. Once used you will find it hard to go back to a scroll wheel.
