Bent Basket

Category: Tech+Gadgets

Designed by a 25-year-old guy from San Francisco, the Bent Basket is an innovative revamp of the traditional bicycle basket.

This clean and useful basket will strap down almost anything you throw on it – even a 12 pack of soft drink.

Each basket is made from bent wood. This is a term used to describe something made when wood (in this case plywood) has been steamed, bent and then hardened into curved shapes and patterns. Five layers of wood veneer have been used to create the light but durable design of the Bent Basket. The basket is equipped with nylon straps that can stretch over you things and keep them in place as you ride. The designer’s vision was a basket that worked differently to the standard bike accessories on offer, providing a whole new level of value for the cyclist.

Look good but I don’t like carrying heavy loads up high on any bike.
