Flickris a website that allows you to manage your photos and videos digitally, and share them with friends, family, and the world.
The site is cost-free and requires you to create a Yahoo! account to then allow you to register for a Flickr account. After you have signed-up, you are free to explore Flickr and its photo collections, and learn more about the site’s features.
Browse other users’ photo and video collections to gain inspiration and help you decide how you might like to categorise your image collections. The next step is to upload your own photos from your desktop, USB, disk drive or mobile phone. Next, organise photos into categories, using Flickr ‘sets’ creating categories – try photo albums themes, e.g. ‘Bali Holiday’, or artistic categories such as seasons, elements or feelings. You may choose to license your photos to allow other users to borrow your images for other projects. Sharing your images from Flickr uses email to send photo sets or single images, or you may like to add ‘contacts’ who can sign in to Flickr and view your collections. Your images can also be contributed to community Flickr accounts, or you may like to share your own photo collections with the Flickr community. Flickr also features a blog application to allow users to create a blog or a live journal where you can upload images directly to the blog.
