It can be quite embarrassing when trying to hide cracked and weathered feet when wearing open-toed or exposed-heel shoes, but there are ways to care for your feet to minimise such chagrin.
One of the factors that contributes to blistered and calloused feet is wearing the wrong footwear. Some shoes may be worth the pain, or were a bargain you couldn’t resist, but ill-fitting footwear can be very problematic for your feet.
Try choosing the right footwear with a firm heel and with sufficient depth and width for toes. After a long day, treat your feet to a warm bath to soak away any hardened skin, and use a pumice stone to buff any dry spots and boost circulation. Doing this regularly will help to prevent the build-up of hardened skin and will hopefully help the soles of your feet stay smooth. For the finishing touch, lather on some rich moisturising cream before bed, with a refreshing scent of lavender or peppermint.߬

I love the idea of adding the scent of lavender to the cream that is used to massage my tired feet at the end of the day
